Local Name –Khirni

Hindi Name –Khirni

Sanskrit Name –Kshirini , Nimbbij

Medical uses- Used in disease as –Anorexia , cough-cool, bronchitis and colic 

Furniture, Agriculture Instruments, wood etc.-Wood are very hard and used for heavy structure work as gates, beams etc

Food Uses –Fruits edible

Decoration – Flowers used in garland

 In Hindu Astrology, Astrologers suggest using Khirni root for satisfying the curs or negative effects of Chandra Rashi.)चन्द्र ग्रहशांति )

  Astrologers suggest for putting the Khirni roots with two Rudraksh seeds on a white cloth or white tag and is put into an amulet and tied on hand or hung on neckonMonday at chandra Hora and Chandra Nakshtra. The purifying mantra for the Khirni root is as under –

  Astrologers suggest donating Khirni fruits on Monday for pacifying bad effect or enhance good effect of Chadra nakshtra (Kark rashi too)
