   Atma Ram Faundani ‘Kamal’ is profound scholar of Garhwali, Sanskrit. Atma ram ‘Kamal’ created many books on Sanskrit and Garhwali. He translated Sanskrit poems in Garhwali.

  Atma Ram Faundani was born in 1944, Kafild-Pali, Dagar Patti of Their Garhwal.

Atma Ram Faundani ‘Kamal’ is famous in Garhwali literature for creating a long poetry Shri Govind Geet.

तू कर्म की बात न छोड़ मन से

श्री धन्य जो गोकुल जन्म लेंदा 

माँ धन्य सी गोकुल बलशाली 

वा जीव भी धन्य जु रोज गांदी 

गोविन्द दामोदर माधवेति

वा धन्य भूमि जख कृष्ण होवन 

गाये यही गीत अर्जुनन 

भग्यानी गोपी छन पुण्यवळि
