            ‘Hyali’ means the mourning cry or mourning weep.
‘Haval’ means mourning cry or grieved weeping by a mother on her son’s death.

माधो सिंगक  ब्वै वे दुःख 

 बारा ऐन बग्वाळी  माधोसिंग, मेरो माधो नी आयो माधो सिंग
सोळ ऐन सराद माधो सिंग, तेरी वाणी बैराणी माधो सिंग

When one of the great Army chiefs of Garhwal Madho Sing was dead in a war his mother never believed that he is dead. For twelve years, on every Deepawali (Bagwal) she believes that Madho Singh would come to home.


     लीला नन्दक ब्वै  रूण 


मेरो लीला नन्द रे औ बाबा घौर,
मेरो लीला नन्द रे औ बाबा घौर
तौली धारा टांको रे तौली धारा टांको
अमेली का बौण रे क्याको होलो रांको,


This Oriental folk song of Garhwal is from Rath region of Garhwal. A boy went with a hunter party went to hunt porcupine. The boy went inside burrow of porcupine and started playing flute. He died there.
The above oriental folk song from Rath Gath song is mother’s cry for her son death.
The said oriental folk song creates sadness among audience.

हरू सेम गीत में माँ का दारुण रोना 


तू कैले दुसाई इजा , एक्ला जंगल हो
क्य लेख बजै त्वे ले उदासी बाँसुली हो
             This oriental folk song is about fairies took boy with them and his mother cries on the situation. When women audience listen this oriental folk song they start weeping.
