Madan Duklan: A Passionate, Multifaceted Film, Theatre and Literature Activist

            Parashar Gaur started Garhwali and Kumauni Film industry because of great passion, for Garhwali-Kumauni culture and language.  Madan Duklan is also an example of great passion for Garhwali-Kumauni culture and literature. Madan has many faces in film and literature creation. Madan is Garhwali language poet, Garhwali language magazine editor, film lyricist, film actor, film screenplay writer and dramatist and Hindi poet too.
                    Born in Khaneta village of Bichhla Bdalpur, Salan of Pauri Garhwal on 10/3/1964, Madan Duklan passed B.Sc .and MA (Public Administration) degree. From his childhood, Madan Duklan was involved in folk dramas and used to take part in many cultural activities of his village and area.                   
           Madan Duklan took professional training for theatre and film production as:                         
                        Madan Duklan a passionate, multifaceted film, theatre and literature activist has 25 years experience of script / song writing and Direction / Acting in Theatre and in Regional Cinema in Uttarakhand.
Madan Duklan a zealous, many-sided film, theatre and writing objector participated in a 45 days production oriented workshop at Dehradun conducted by Mr. Dinesh Khanna of National School of Drama, New Delhi (1993).
Madan Duklan a obsessive, versatile film, theatre and literature campaigner participated in a one month production oriented theatre workshop at Dehradun conducted by Mr. Punit Asthana and organized by Bhartendu Natya Academy, Lucknow in collaboration with Uttarakhand Sanskritik Morcha, Dehradun (1995).
Madan Duklan a loving, talented film, theatre and literature activist attended a one month production oriented theatre workshop at Dehradun conducted by Mr. Sirish Dobhal and organized by National School of Drama in collaboration with Vatayan (1998).

                       Madan Duklan a passionate, multifaceted film, theatre and literature activist conducted and Directed one month’s production oriented workshop in Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) (1998).

                     Madan Duklan a passionate, multifaceted film, theatre and literature activist edited ‘Chithee-Patri’ (Garhwali Quarterly Magazine since 1985),‘Himigiri’ and ‘Uttarakhand Mahotsava-1988 & 2000’ souvenir, Co-editor ofGad-Jagar (Published by Akhil Garhwal Sabha, Dehradun) and Co-Editor of‘Himnad’ a quarterly Hindi Journal focused on Uttarakhand and published from Delhi. Also edited ‘Gwathani Ka Gaon Bate’ ( A collection poem of 18 prominent Garhwali poets), souvenir on Silve Jublee of Uttrakhandi Cinema.
                         Madan Duklan a passionate, multifaceted film, theatre and literature activist was also associated with a fortnightly Hindi Journal JANPAKSHA AAJKAL as SAHITYA SAMPADAK and now associated as Literary Editor with Regional Reporter a monthly Hindi magazine.
  Garhwali and Kumauni film industry and literature is developing due to hard work and sacrifice of passionate personality as Madan Duklan.
