                      Rukmi (Dhad, October –December 1988) is a modern Garhwali tale written by famous social activist Vidyavati Dobhal.
 Kaly is parentless but is lovers of beautiful girls. He marries three times by spending huge money. Each of his wives left him immediately after marriage. Kalya was black as coal. At last he marries a dumb and black color girl. Kalya is very simple in thinking. Vidyavati explores psychology of each individual in this modern Garhwali tale ‘Kalya’
