Robert E. Kelley (The art of Followership, 2008 1-10 pages) classifies five types of followership styles.
The Yes Followership style - The Yes followers are positive, are with leaders in all circumstances,. The yes Followers look to leaders for thinking, vision and direction.
The alienated followership – the alienated followers think for themselves and are with negative energy.
The pragmatic followership- The pragmatic followers sit on the fence and wait for the direction of wind blow
The star followership style-the start followers think about themselves and are very active with lot of positive energy.
The sheep followership style- the sheep followers are passive and look to leaders to think for them and look to leaders for own motivation
Parashar Gaur satirizes the Sheep followership in his Manauti satire. Though it looks a story but is simple sharp satire on sheep followership at the time of Uttarakhand movement.
