                   The Van Chetan kala Mandir a cell of Forest Department, Uttarakhand staged ‘Kakhi Lageen Ag-Kakhi Lgyun Bag’ a Garhwali drama written by famous Garhwali playwright Kula Nand Ghansala in Gopeshwar, Chamoli Garhwal in 1997. The drama is all about making people aware about the essentials of forest growth for mankind and the public role in protecting the forests.  

                         Bashakhi the wife of Chaitu wants to cut developing Banj (Oak) but Chaitu stops her as if the children were killed the human being wouldn’t be there in the earth. Suddenly fire breaks in the forest and the forest produces are burnt. People are worried about fodders for their domestic animals. The tigers are running from the fire and they come nearer to the populations. There is tension among villagers due to tigers coming to villages, the tigers are finding difficult to survive and become man-eaters.  The politicians are taking advantages of the situations. Chaitu lost his life in stopping forest fire. The jungle mafias are busy in cutting the tress. The villagers take oath to save the forest from fire, politicians and jungle mafias.  

               The drama is successful in creating awareness among people for developing forests and protecting them too.
