Rongpa or Bhotiya Language and a Rongpa Poem

Brief about Rongpa or Bhotiya Language of Garhwal
                                Original writer: Kedar Singh Foniya
                                Transliteration by Bhishma Kukreti
(At the time of Vedic era and thereafter, there were two types of languages in India -the local languages and cultured language- Vedic Sanskrit and Sanskrit. The knowledgeable personalities call the local languages as Prakrit or natural one.  There is no single Prakrit but there were hundreds of Parkrit languages in India before Vedic era and thereafter too. -Bhishma Kukreti)
From the beginning of civilization initiated in Neeti-Mana area of Garhwal, Bhotiya or the inhabitants of this area had been a type of gypsies who used to travel to Tibet and other parts of India (Jamboodweep). These inhabitants of Tibet border of Garhwal were businessmen. These Garhwali Bhotiyas y cultured a language which was a secrete language for their business purpose. The language is more of SIGN language. That is why the language of Bhotiyas of Neeti-Mana of Garhwal does not match with the languages of other Bhotiyas as Bhotiyas of Neelang pass or Bhotiyas of Pithoragarh.
Two hundred years back, Tibet came in existence and Tibet a trading business centre which was meeting place for the businessmen of China and Jamboodweep (India). The Bhotiyas of Neeti-mana of Garhwal used to do business with businessmen of both territories. These Bhotiyas used to travel China, Burma, Java, Sumatra and Indonesia.  The secret language of Bhotiyas of Neet-mana region is Rongpa. Rongpa is more than two thousand year old language.
Rongpa has the words of Sanskrit, Garhwali, Chinese or Tibetan, Burmese, Java, Malay, Sumatran and Indonesian languages. The script of Rongpa language is Devnagari. There is more effect of Tibetan language on this Bhotiya language-Rongpa. Sanskrit affected Rongpa as it affected other Indian languages.
