GERMAN :  Die sonne ist am Himmel.
English :  The sun is in the sky.
Roman Garhwali : Suraj asmaan ma cha.गढ़वाली : सूरज असमान मा चा.

Am Tage konnen  wir gut sehen, weil die Sonne uns Licht gibt.In the day time we can see well, because the sun given us Light.
Din ma ham bhali ke dekhi sakdawa, kilai ki suraj hamtai ujyalu deend.
दिन मा हम भली  के देखि सक्दावा, किलै कि सूरज हमते उज्यालू  दींद.

 

Es ist jetzt hell, weil die sonne am Himmel ist.
It is light now because the sun is in the sky.
Itun jug ujyalu cha kilai ki suraj asmaan ma cha.
इतन जुग उज्यालू चा किलै कि सूरज असमान मा चा.

In der Nacht ist es dunkel. Wenn der Mond am Himmel steht, konnen wir ein wenig sehen.
At night it is dark. When the moon is in the sky we can see a little .
Raati ma andheru cha. Jab  joon (chand) asmaan ma raind ta ham jarasee dekhi sakdawa .
रात मा अंधेरु चा. ज़ब जून असमान  मा रैंद

 त हम जरा सी  देखि सक्दावा.
Das Mondlicht ist viel schwacher als das Sonnenlicht.
Moon light is much weaker than sunlight.
Junyali  raat suraj ku ujyalu se kamjor cha.
जुन्याली रात सूरज कु उज्यालू से कमजोर च.
Heute Abend wird der Mond scheinen.
To-night the moon will shine
Aaja ki raat Junyali raat hoon

आजा कि रात जुन्याली रात हूण 
Wir werden den Mond und die Sterne am Himmel sehen.
We shall see the moon and the stars in the sky.
Ham asmaan  ma joon ar gaina dyakhla.
हम  सरग  मा जून अर गैणा  द्यख्ला.
Wenn wir in der Nacht sehen wollen, mussen wir Licht machen.
If we want to see at night we have to make light.
Agar ham raat ma dyakhan chaanda ta ham tai  karan pwadalu.
अगर हम राति म द्यखण   चांदा

त हम तै उज्यलू   करण  प्वाडालू  .
In diesem Zimmer haben wir elektrisches Licht.
In this room we have electric लाइट.
ye kamra ma bijalee ku ujyalu cha.
ए कमरा मा बिजली कु उज्यलू चा.

Wenn ich das  Zimmer verlasse, schalte ich das elektrische Licht aus.When I leave the room, I switch off the electric light.
Jab mi kamra bati bhair jaandu ta mi bijali ku  ujyalu band kairi deendu.
ज़ब मि कमरा बटी   भैर जांदू त

मि बिजली कु उज्यालू बंद   कैरि दींदु .
Der Schalter ist rechts von der Tur.
The switch is on the right of the door.
Darwajaa ka dhain taraf batan cha.
दरवाजा का धैण तरफ बटन चा .
Bitte, schalten Sie das Licht ein! In der Kuche haben wir Gaslicht.
please switch on the light!  In the kitchen we have gaslight.
kripa kairi ki laita ku batan chalu karaa!  Raswada ma gaisa ki lait cha.
कृपा कैरि कि उज्यालू कु बटन चालू करा!

रस्वाडा मा गैस कि लैट चा.

Gas schaltet man nicht ein, man zundet es mit einem Streichholz an.
Gas is not switched on, it is lit with a match.
Gaisa ku batan chaloo neech, yu salwe la jagand.
गैस कु बटन चालू नीच. ए सल्वे ल जगंद.

Die Sonne gibt uns nicht nur Licht, sondern auch Warme.The sun gives us not only light  but also warmth.
Suraj hamtai kewal ujyalu hi ni deendu balki garmi bhi deend.
सूरज हम तै  केवल उज्यलू ही नि दींदु

बल्कि गर्मी भी दींद.
In winter heizen wir den Ofen, um uns zu warmen.
In winter we heat the stove in order to warm ourselves.
Thanduen ma ham aputhai garam rakhna ka wasta chuloo jalanda.
 ठड़ी   मा हम अपु थई गरम रखणा का वास्ता  चु लू जलंदा .  

Man heizt den Ofen mit Holz und kohlen.
One heats the stove with wood and coal.
chulu  lakhudoo ar kweela la jaland.
चु लू लाखुडू अर क्वीला ल जलंदा.

Die Englander haben Kaminfeuer in  ihren Hausern.
The English have open fires in their houses.
Angrej apda  gharon ma khula aag jalandee.
अंग्रेज अपड़ा घरों मा खुला आग जलन्दी .
Wenn es kalt ist, warmen wir uns am afen.
when it it is cold we warm ourselves by the stove.
Jab thandu lagand ta ham aputhai sigadee la  garam rakhdawa. ज़ब ठडु लगन्द त हम अपुथई  चुला  ल गरम रख्दावा . 

haben wir gutes Wetter   Wenn die Sonne scheint,
when the sun shines , we have good weather.
Jab suraj nikland, ta mousama ku mijaj thik raind.
ज़ब सूरज निक्लंद, त मौसम कु मिजाज ठीक रैंदा .
Wenn es regnet oder schneit, ist das Wetter schlecht.
When it rains or it snows the weather is bad.
Jab barkha lagand ya ta hewn pwadand tab mausam ku mijaj kharap raind.ज़ब बरखा लगन्द या ह्वेयूं प्वाडद तब मौसम कु मीजाज  खराप रैंद.

 

 Der Himmel ist blau, wenn er wolkenlos ist.
The sky is blue when it  is cloudless.
Sarag neelu raind jab yem  badal ni rainda .
सरग नीलू रैंद ज़ब एम बादल  नि रैंदा. 
Im Winter schneit es zuweilen.
In winter it snows sometimes.r
Thanduen ma kabi kabar baraf padand.
ठंडीयूं मा कबि कबार बरफ   पडंद .
Der Schnee ist weiss, und er bedeckt die Strassen, die Hauser und die Felder.
The snow is white and it covers the streets, the houses and the fields.
Huen safed cha ar yu batta, koodon ar  pungadon tai dhaiki deend,हिवू (बरफ) सफ़ेद चा. अर यु बाटा , कूड़ों 

अर पुंग डों  तै   धैकि दीन्द.  

 wenn es regnet, sind die strassen nass.
When it rains, the streets are wet.
Jab barkha hoonda, ta baata bheegi jandi.
ज़ब बरखा हूंद, त बाटा भीगी जन्दीन.
Wenn die sonne scheint, sind die Strassen trocken,
When the sun shines the streets are dry.
Jab suraj chamkundu cha ta baata sukhya randeen.
ज़ब सूरज चम्कंद त बाटा सुख्याँ रंदीं.
Die Sonne scheint, aber es ist nicht zu warm.
The sun is shining , but it is not too warm.
Suraj nikluen cha, par bhout jyada garam neecha.
सूरज निक्लणु चा, पर भौत ज्यादा गरम नीच.

Wie ist der Winter in England ? Er ist gewohnlich kalf und nass.
What is the winter like in England ? It is usually cold and wet.
England ma thandee kanee raind ? Jaada kairi ki thandu ar giloo raind.
इंग्लैंड मा ठंडी कनि रैंद  ? 

जादा कैरि कि ठण्डु अर गिलू रैंद.
In London ist es zuweilen neblig.
In London it is sometimes foggy.
Landan ma kabi kabaar  dhundhkar rainda.
