Negi Shows Concern Over Corruption in Sports in ‘Kathga Khailya’ Poem

In last stanza of Garhwali language poem ‘Kathga Khailya’ , Narendra Negi shows is concern over corruption in sports.

Negi depicts the stanza”

Rashtrmandal khel 2 jee ghotala

Ghotala re ghotala toojee ghotala

Rashtrmandal khel 2 jee ghotala

Arbon-kharbon mal lagaiyali chhala ….

The stanza means that in the scams of Commonwealth games held in Delhi in 2010 and 2 G scandal by DMk ministers A Raja and Daya Maran, the corrupt ministers and concern authorities milked billion and trillions through corrupt methodologies.

Sport is very big phenomenon in today’s life. There are many dimensions related to sports including people’s emotion attached to sports.

Besides worrying over declines in sports value , each country is also facing the challenges of to deal increasing corruption in sports .

Bhishma Kukreti did same experiment to personify the corruption in a couple of satirical articles against corruption published in Garh Aina (a Garhwali (Indian) language daily paper being published in nineties from Dehradun, India.
