Nand Kishor Nautiyal

Most of the Uttrakhandis of Mumbai and elsewhere think that Nand Kishor Nautiyal has worked with Blitz only and his life was very easy. However, Nand Kishor Nautiyal passed through many ups and down before becoming editor of Hindi Blitz and chairman of Badrinath Kedarnath Mandir Samiti . Presently he is chairman of hindi academy Maharashtra government and publishes a weekly Nutan Savera. He also supported late H N Bahuguna in his political convention of Congress For Democracy in Mumabi
He was born in 1931, in Masan, Patti-Sitaunsyun, Pauri Garhwal.
He came to Mumbai in 1950 and joined Lokmanya a Hindi daily as sub editor. He was transferred to Nagpur as deputy editor of a Hindi daily Lokamat a sister concern of Lokmanya .
The lifestyle of Nagpur did not attract young Nand Kishor and in 1951, Nautiyal joined the editorial board of Sarita a Hindi monthly magazine. The management of Delhi Publishing House (Sarita , Champak, etc) is always different and its style of working is very different than other publications in India. Young Nautiyal left journalist profession and joined trade union movement in Delhi around 1951-52
In Delhi, he became editor of “Parvtiya Jan” and Himalaya Times
In Delhi only, Nad Kishor took the editorial responsibilities of news letters of A I T U C and Majdor Neta
He reentered in journalism proffesion in 1960 when he joined ‘Nayoi Kahaniyan’ and later on joined ‘Hindi Times as sub editor.
In 1962, he came back to Mumbai and joined Hindi weekly Blitz and in 1973, he became editor of the said weekly .
When Karanjiya stopped Blitz publication nautical started his own weekly by Nutan Savera
He was an active member of Garhwal Bhratri Mandal (an oldest social organization) . He participates enthusiastically Uttrakhandi social activities in Mumbai , he is always straightforward in putting his thought and does not believe in mincing the words.
